Honey French Toast

Yields: 4 Servings


  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pint milk
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • a sprinkling of nutmeg
  • 6 or 8 slices of bread several days old


Beat eggs until light. Warm the milk slightly and blend well with the honey. Add the salt, nutmeg and beaten eggs and stir well. Dip each slice of bread into the milk and egg mixture and place on a hot well greased griddle. Brown well on both sides. Serve with honey.
